Tamás Tolvaj
Partner, Senior Architect
Tamás graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2003 and began his career at Zoboki-Demeter and Partners Architectural Studio. In 2007, he became more involved with BORD Architectural Studio, where he served as the project manager for the design of HOLDVÖLGY (Moon Valley) in Mád and the Visitor Centre at Korda Studios. Due to his excellent problem-solving skills and complex thinking, he quickly became Péter’s right-hand in design competitions, a role he held for many years. One of their early projects was the international competition for the Warsaw Concert Hall, where they received an honorable mention. Tamás is also an IT expert, and for many years, he combined his architectural leadership with managing the office’s IT systems. His colleagues affectionately nicknamed him “Houston” after the movie Apollo 13, reflecting his significant role in the team.
In 2017, Tamás moved to Zurich to help establish the Swiss branch of BORD Studio, together with Péter. As the manager of Bordstudio GmbH, he has worked on several Swiss residential park projects while continuing to participate in international design competitions as part of the Hungarian team. His logical, analytical, and complex thinking make him an indispensable part of the team.
Living in Switzerland allows Tamás to indulge in his favorite hobby: hiking. He loves the Swiss mountains and forests and enjoys spending long hours walking in nature, which both inspires and relaxes him.
Eszter É. Vágvölgyi
Partner, Senior Architect
She graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2014. Her interests focus on the relationship between architecture, society, and the environment, as well as unique living spaces and lifestyles. She spent half a year in Lisbon on a scholarship, and a defining experience was participating as a student in the construction of the forest pilgrimage chapel at the Pannonhalma Archabbey. As a consultant, she taught residential building design at the University of Technology.
She joined BORD Architectural Studio in September 2014 and worked in our Zurich studio in 2021. A creative architect with excellent organizational and critical thinking skills, she leads her projects from conceptual design to execution. She played a key role in the design of the New Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium building and served as the project manager for the Forest Offices office building. Since 2022, she has become a co-owner of the studio.
Eszter still values her roots in Győr, but she also feels at home on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, where gastronomy and immersion in local life provide her with relaxation.

Dorottya Hindy
Partner, Senior Architect
Dorka is an experienced architectural designer and one of the cornerstones of the office. She graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics with a degree in Urban Planning, followed by postgraduate studies at the Society of Master Architects. Her career began as an urban planner, and she also gained experience in wooden architecture and worked as a project manager in the film industry.
Dorka has been a member of BORD Studio since January 2015. She is a critical analyst, a meticulous and thorough planner, and an excellent coordinator as a project leader. She led projects such as Villa Lónyay-Hatvany and the Mercure Hotel in Debrecen. In 2018, she became a co-owner of the studio, and since then, she has also been handling HR management.
In her free time, Dorka enjoys running and hiking.
Kata Zih
Partner, Chief Coordinating Architect
Kata graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2008 and earned her LEED AP qualification in 2009. She has been a member of the Studio since 2012 and became a partner at BORD in 2018.
She has worked on key projects such as the Nagyerdei Stadium and the Új Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium.
Her excellent communication and decision-making skills, along with her quick situational awareness, make her a strong leader. Her daily responsibilities include project preparation, coordinating with co-designers, overseeing work processes, and maintaining a comfortable and efficient working environment.
Kata has always had a passion for travel: as a secondary school student, she spent a year in the USA as an exchange student, and as a university student, she spent six months in Lille on a scholarship. She is empathetic both at the office and at home, where she proudly cares for an energetic bull terrier.
Tamás Mezey
Partner, Leading Design Architect
Tamás graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2009. During his post-graduate studies at the Society of Master Architects, he also served as a visiting lecturer in the Department of Building Constructions at his alma mater. He won first prize in the Europan International Urban Planning Competition with his rehabilitation concept for the old Szeged Gas Factory.
Tamás has been contributing to the studio’s work since 2012 and became a BORD partner in 2018. A highly skilled design architect, his strength lies in conceptual planning. Alongside Péter, he plays a pivotal role in the inception of each building and the start of every new project. In his daily work, he supports project teams and ensures the realization of architectural concepts. Some of his favorite projects include his involvement in the design of the steel structure for the Debrecen Nagyerdő Stadium, the concept for the Etyek Cider Factory, and the competition plans for the Ludovika Sports Centre.
Since he was a child, Tamás has been passionate about building houses — he was mixing cement in a wheelbarrow at the age of three.
Róbert György Benke
Founding Partner, Managing Director
Róbert graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. As one of the founders of BORD Architectural Studio, he is now a senior board member. As a project architect, he has managed numerous projects, including the Etyeki Kuria Winery and the Nagyerdei Stadium, among others. He also led the design team for the reconstruction of the Ybl Villa in the Castle District of Buda for many years.
Róbert has been representing BORD as Managing Director and co-owner since 2016. During the expansion of the office, he played a pivotal role in establishing the studio’s structural organization. His vast professional experience and exceptional precision make him indispensable in the studio’s strategic decisions. As a board member, he actively participates in decision-making, while as chief coordinator, he is involved in all projects, providing reliable support to the design teams.
He considers the Studio one of his children, but in his personal life, his family comes first. He enjoys playing tennis and is a passionate NFL fan. During family travels, he recharges by immersing himself in nature and enjoying the ocean.
Linda Lente-Papp
Partner, Senior Architect
Linda graduated from the University of Debrecen in 2014. She began her professional career in BIM processing and became a member of the Debrecen BORD team in 2016.
Since then, she has been involved in all projects at the Debrecen office. A talented organizer, she plays a key role in project management and meticulously monitors all processes from the beginning to the final stage. Her critical thinking and precision, along with her analytical skills, are essential in solving complex architectural problems. Since 2020, she has been a co-owner and is responsible for coordinating the Debrecen office of BORD Architectural Studio.
Linda enjoys creative hobbies and has a deep love for nature, though she also enjoys going to the gym.
Péter Bordás
CEO, Founder, Head of Design
Peter established BORD Architectural Studio in 2006 with the vision of designing inspiring spaces imbued with a unique atmosphere. His projects are defined by their harmony with nature, dynamic rhythms, and timeless elegance.
He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2003. With two decades of professional experience, Peter has worked on a diverse range of buildings from concept to completion, earning recognition as a prominent figure in contemporary Hungarian architecture. In 2024, he was awarded the Ybl Miklós Prize, honoring his exceptional contributions to the field.
His goal is to create an environment that is simultaneously sustainable, well-proportioned, and aesthetically pleasing. He firmly believes that harmonious surroundings have a calming influence, spark creativity, foster meaningful connections, and contribute significantly to the development of a responsible community on both personal and societal levels.
As a former BMX racer, he enjoys challenges. His passion for sports remains strong – he regularly runs, snowboards, and sails.
Ildikó Pém
Founding Partner
After earning her degree at the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, she completed the DLA (Doctor of Liberal Arts) Program and taught Design as a visiting lecturer. She is one of the co-founders of BORD Architectural Studio. As an architect, she played a key role in conceptual planning. Currently, she is leveraging her experience as a lecturer in her work on BORD’s communications.
Her main goal is to highlight the compelling story behind each building and draw attention to authentic architectural values. She embraces challenges, enjoys sports, and is an active mother of three.
Artúr Lente
Partner, Senior Architect
Artur graduated with an MSc in Architecture from the University of Debrecen in 2015. He joined our Debrecen office in 2016, where he has managed several projects since then.
He is forward-thinking, efficient, and an exceptionally skilled problem solver. He is involved in all phases of a project’s development, though he is particularly drawn to conceptual planning and visual design. Dedicated to his profession, he enjoys staying informed about architectural trends and innovations. He is always up-to-date with the latest architectural technologies. Since 2020, he has been a co-owner and is responsible for coordinating the Debrecen office of BORD Architectural Studio.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his wife, admiring the wonders of nature, and caring for his pet chameleon.
Csenge Szabó
Graphic designer
She graduated in 2018 from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, specializing in graphic design. During her studies, she explored a variety of theoretical fields, including philosophy, film art, and modern architecture, while primarily focusing on the deeper aspects of graphic design.
After completing her studies, she worked as a graphic designer. She has a particular interest in typography and the theoretical and historical aspects of graphic design, while also exploring other art forms, such as visual arts.
In January 2024, she joined BORD Architectural Studio, where she works on supporting of the studio’s graphic identity, ensuring that the visual communication remains consistent and of high quality.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, and finds relaxation in movement and listening to music. She also enjoys delving into self-awareness, psychology, and reading.
She has a dog named Boga, who has been a loyal companion for almost 10 years.
Júlia Fábri
Communications Manager
She graduated from the Faculty of Business Communication at the Media and Communication Department of King Sigismund University in 2015. She has extensive professional experience across various business fields, including the family construction business, the food industry (as a factory manager), and a HVAC Engineering company.
She joined the BORD team in early 2021 as office manager and personal assistant. With her positive personality, excellent problem-solving skills, professionalism, and perseverance, she has become an indispensable asset in many business areas.
Since the spring of 2024, she has also been supporting the work of the brand and communications team. Since February 2025, she focuses primarily on this area, working as a communications manager.. She plays an active role in shaping the company’s communication strategy and is involved in planning and implementing online communication activities.
In her free time, she enjoys running, baking, and traveling.
Eszter Szalay-Ruttai
Office Manager, Personal Assistant
Eszter has been managing office operations at the studio since 2015. She holds a degree in Tourism Management from the Faculty of Tourism and Economics at Metropolitan University. Together with Bernadett, she is responsible for the overall functioning of the office, ensuring all necessary support for our architects and engineers. In addition to her office management duties, Eszter also serves as the personal assistant to the CEO, organizing and assisting with his daily tasks.
She is open-minded, energetic, confident, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. In her free time, she enjoys sports and traveling.
Bernadett Mészáros
Financial Manager
Bernadett has been with the Studio since 2008. Originally, she graduated as a Kindergarten Teacher from ELTE University, but she also holds a degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Finance and Accountancy at the Budapest Business School.
She initially served as our office manager, overseeing everything outside of architecture. However, as the Studio grew, her role evolved, and she became our financial coordinator.
She is an efficient, thorough, precise, and loyal colleague. While her background as a former teacher means she can be strict, her empathy and excellent communication skills make her one of the most valued members of our team.
Zsófia Judith Bagoly
Architect
She graduated in 2018 from the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Early in her career, she gained experience in the construction of residential buildings, before moving on to designing luxury properties. She has also been involved in site management and construction supervision tasks.
In January 2023, she joined BORD Architectural Studio, where she worked on the interior architectural design and construction supervision of the Alsóörs Harbor and Club and the National Ice Skating Centre projects.
Her strengths include visual design, detail creation, and an extremely precise, team-oriented approach.
She enjoys traveling, and discovering new cities is a great source of inspiration for her. Skiing is her favorite winter sport.
In her free time, Zsófi also leads her own running club. The mission of her community runs is to make running accessible to everyone, regardless of experience level, and to provide a supportive environment where participants can grow together, inspire each other, and strengthen the bonds between club members.
Viktória Jaszenovits-Torda
Architect
She graduated in 2019 from the Department of Urban Studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. During her studies, she spent a semester on an Erasmus scholarship in Liechtenstein. Early in her career, she worked in the field of sustainability, and later gained experience in healthcare projects and heritage building renovations.
In November 2022, Viki joined BORD Architectural Studio. She enjoys working on the Studio’s competition projects but seeks to find joy in every project she is involved in. She is particularly interested in urban concepts and relationships, as well as interior architectural design.
In her free time, she enjoys crocheting and cycling, and she also loves sailing with her friends.
Viki also leads her own running club. The mission of her community runs is to make running accessible to everyone, regardless of their experience level, and to create a supportive environment where participants can grow together, inspire one another, and strengthen connections within the group.
Bettina Bakó
Architect
She graduated in 2018 from the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Throughout her career, she has worked on a variety of projects, ranging from smaller-scale buildings to larger community spaces. She has a particular interest in urban planning and timber architecture.
In the autumn of 2023, she joined BORD Architectural Studio, where she works as an architect. She feels most confident in concept creation and graphic design, but she places great importance on ensuring that the initial ideas are consistently followed through to the final execution during the design process.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and relaxing in nature.
Balázs Zólyomi
Senior Architect
He graduated as an architect from the Budapest University of Technology in 2000. He participated in several programs of the Vándoriskola and later worked as a construction supervisor and chief construction manager.
He joined BORD in 2022, where his first project was the Hotel Festetics. He was also involved in the renovation and extension of our Budapest office.
He enjoys creating implementation plans and supervising construction work.
In his free time, he loves spending time with his two children. He is also passionate about traveling, hiking, and playing board games.
Zsuzsa Popa
Landscape Designer
She graduated as a landscape architect in 2016 from the University of Sapientia, Hungarian University of Transylvania. In 2019, she completed a master’s degree in landscape architecture and horticulture at Szent István University in Budapest.
She joined BORD in 2022, with her first project being the landscape design for Hotel Festetics. Her strength lies in developing landscape concepts, and she is an excellent team player. With her kind and friendly personality, she perfectly complements the work of the architects.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, walking, and spending time in nature. Her hobbies include learning languages and photography.
Anita Bodnár
Architect
She graduated as an architect from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2015. In her previous roles, she primarily focused on designing residential houses and also gained experience working on a historic hotel project.
She joined the BORD team at the beginning of 2022, with her first project being the Tocóvölgy development in Debrecen. A reliable colleague and a true team player, she enjoys both creating concepts and implementing plans.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking and playing the drums.
Máté Andirkó
Architect
He graduated as an architect from the University of Debrecen in 2022. During his studies, he participated in several design contests, both individually and as part of a team. In 2020 and 2021, he received a special award and second prize in different design competitions. In 2022, he won a special award for his diploma project at the “Think Brick!” international design contest organized by Triplex Confinium.
His main interests include energy efficiency in buildings, space architecture, and 3D modeling. He is particularly active in the latter within our studio.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time in nature, exercising, and is also passionate about both arts and sciences. He likes to stay updated on the latest technological developments and scientific discoveries.
Viola Tóth
Architect
She graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2015. During her studies, she spent two semesters at technical universities in Vienna and Denmark, and she also participated in several competitions as a university student.
After graduation, she worked as a project leader for one and a half years before joining BORD in 2017. Shortly after, she went on maternity leave but returned in 2021. One of her favorite projects at BORD was the Debrecen Spa, where she worked as a deputy project leader.
She is a professional and reliable colleague who thrives in a team environment. In her free time, she enjoys doing sports and spending time with her family.
Fruzsina Damásdi
Architect
She graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2018. During her studies, she spent a semester at La Universidad Europea de Madrid, participating in the English-language architecture program.
Her previous professional experience includes planning a town cinema and contributing to the major 600-apartment Cédrus Liget Residential Park project in Szeged, among others.
She joined BORD in 2021 and has since contributed to many successful projects, competitions, and challenging conceptual designs. A true team player, she approaches tasks holistically and consistently delivers quality results. Her strengths lie in conceptual design and translating architectural philosophy into tangible outcomes.
She finds inspiration in creative individuals and challenging tasks. In her free time, she enjoys bouldering and rock climbing.
Gábor Tóth
Architect
Gábor earned his BSc degree from the University of Debrecen in 2016 and completed his Master’s in Urban Planning at the University of Pécs in 2019, specializing in Urban Design, with a Breuer Marcell Award for his thesis.
He joined BORD in 2019, and although urbanism is his closest area of expertise, he enjoys being involved in all stages of the design process, from conceptualization to the detailed execution plans.
His calm and critical approach, along with his adaptability, quickly made him an indispensable member of the team. His strengths include conceptual design and 3D modeling.
During his school years, he played basketball competitively. Music and hiking are his ways to unwind, and the science fiction genre serves as a source of inspiration for him.
Réka Zsólyomi
Senior Architect
Réka graduated from the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2002. In 2010, she obtained a Chief Architect qualification and is also a certified Passive House designer.
She began collaborating with BORD Architectural Studio in 2016 and later gained experience working for the Municipality of Budapest. She rejoined the BORD team in 2019. During her career, she has contributed to several high-profile projects, including the new Hidegkúti Stadium, the Aquaticum Waterpark in Debrecen, and Forest Offices in Debrecen.
Réka is a true team player, deeply inspired by her work.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and reading, alongside spending time with her children. Her creative outlets include knitting and crocheting.
Györgyi Püspöki
Senior Architect
Györgyi graduated from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, majoring in structural engineering in 2010. As a university student, she spent two semesters in Lyon with a scholarship from the French State. She joined BORD Studio in March 2017 and has been involved in several projects ever since.
As a well-qualified, cooperative colleague, her strength lies in the precise harmonization of architectural and related professional plans. She took part in many different phases of projects, from planning to construction supervising. Her first projects with BORD were the Ratka-based Sauska Winery and the Ybl Villa. She played a key role as the project leader in the construction of the International School of Debrecen.
She is always on the move, even in the city, commuting daily with her road bike, which she greatly enjoys. Whenever she’s not out hiking in the Caucasus or the Himalayas, she spends her evenings with contemporary dance or theatre performances.
Péter Bukovszky
Senior Architect
Peter graduated from the Ybl Miklós Architectural and Civil Engineering College in 1991. He also holds certifications as a Passive House Designer, as well as degrees in Economics and Entrepreneurial Engineering.
Peter began contributing to BORD Studio’s work in 2014. With his broad professional experience, high-level technical qualifications, and excellent coordination skills, he stands out as a senior project leader architect. His most recent project was the award-winning Peterfia Corner Office Building, which received recognition from Equitone. Currently, he is the lead architect for the 500-unit Allure Residence development.
Zsolt Belányi
Senior Architect
He graduated from Ybl Miklós Technical College in 2003. For many years, he worked as a freelance architect, gaining a wide range of experience. He joined BORD Studio in 2018, where his first task was working on the construction plans for the Water Park in Debrecen. His technical expertise and mechanical knowledge make him an indispensable member of the team.
A true team player both professionally and personally, he used to sing in a choir and participate in team gymnastics. When he seeks solitude, he enjoys playing the guitar or swimming.
Andrea Méhes
Senior Architect
She coordinates, organizes, and manages the work processes at our Debrecen BORD office.
With her exceptional situational awareness, she supports project-managing architects, oversees work processes, and handles communication tasks between the office and clients. Andrea graduated as an architect from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2003 and is a certified construction supervisor and site manager. She started working with our studio in 2016.
A proud and devoted mother of four, Andrea considers her work her passion. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga.
András Fábry
Senior Architect
András graduated with a BSc in Architecture in 2001 and earned his MSc in 2008 from the University of Debrecen. He is a highly experienced architect who joined our Debrecen studio in 2016. With his great sense of humor, he brings a positive dynamic to the team. András believes that the future of architectural design lies in the technological advancements of IT, especially with BIM and other modeling tools, which support both design and execution in ways that were previously unimaginable. He is passionate about the development of contemporary architecture in Debrecen and is confident that BORD Studio can contribute significantly to this progress.
In his free time, András enjoys stepping away from the screen and prefers playing music with friends, as he is a skilled bass guitarist.
Ágota Melinda Keresztesi-Angi
Senior Architect
She moved to Debrecen, Hungary, from Transylvania, Romania, to pursue her architectural engineering studies in Hungarian, and received her MA degree from the University of Debrecen in 2015. During her university years, she won first prize in the III. Architectural Jamboree in Pécs and also participated as an exhibitor in the 13th Venice Biennale. She worked for a year at the Architecture Office of the city of Debrecen before joining BORD Studio in 2016. Today, she serves as one of the operational directors at our Debrecen office. She has been involved in large-scale projects such as Doczy Park, Forest Offices, and the Innovation Centre. In addition to architecture, she has a strong interest in transportation engineering and infrastructure development.
In her free time, she practices K-1, a martial art of Japanese origin.
Zoltán Hollókövi
Founding Partner at BORD HVAC Engineering Studio, Chief HVAC Engineer
Zoltán graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2003.
He has been working at BORD Studio since December 2012, contributing to nearly all of our projects. As the leader of our HVAC engineering team, he is responsible for developing innovative and environmentally conscious building services. In 2014, he was awarded the ‘HVAC Design Award’ by the Chamber of Hungarian Engineers for his innovative mechanical solutions in the Debrecen Nagyerdei Stadium.
Zoltán is also deeply interested in building acoustics. He used to swim and kayak, but now enjoys skiing and CrossFit.
