As the founding supporter of the DECODE Awards, we are proud to have presented this recognition for the seventh time, celebrating the creative process and supporting contemporary architecture and art. This year, 74 submissions were received, 28 in the Architecture category and 46 in Visual and Applied Arts. The winners were selected by a professional jury. The total prize fund for DECODE 2025 amounted to HUF 3,100,000, and the awards ceremony took place on November 19 at the Apollo Gallery.
Continuing its tradition, the DECODE Awards invited young creators to showcase the creative process behind one of their own projects in a short film of up to three minutes. A jury of 11 professionals evaluated the submissions based on the uniqueness of the stories and the quality of their visual presentation.
Prior to the DECODE Awards ceremony, the DECODE Inspiration event set a vibrant, creative tone, with presentations by Valentina Torrente representing Mario Cucinella Architects on the architectural side, and visual artist Ilona Németh on the art side. The ceremony itself was hosted by Zubreczki Dávid, architectural storyteller. The Winners received a hand-cut glass trophy and HUF 1,000,000; the Promising Project Award was HUF 150,000; and the Spotlight Award, supporting a professional trip, was a HUF 500,000 flight voucher. The winning and shortlisted projects were showcased on large LED screens at the Apollo Gallery.
The shortlisted projects from 2025 and previous years are available on the DECODE YouTube channel, offering guidance on understanding the creative process and inspiring the creation of new, exciting works.
