The construction of the 4 star Apartment House and Hotel Mercure Debrecen began in 2020 and is bound to be completed this year for the time of the Flower Carnival. According to the concept the building comprises of a ground floor and four floor wing which is fitted in among the already existing surrounding buildings and consists of 135 rooms and 20 long stay apartments.
Apart from these there are also conference rooms, a board room, meeting spaces, a gym, a restaurant, a bar lounge and a café. During planning the plot proved to be a true challenge: widening the narrow street into a square was quite a thing and so was creating the entrance bay that is equally inviting to the guests and offers exciting facilities for the passers by too. The facade above the ground floor is closed by an inwrought slab just to further enhance the attraction of the public spaces. We also aimed to create a wide, clear space on the ground floor. The interiors and the outer areas are harmonizing in fluid transition. The lighting of the facade is designed in a way to give a dynamic look to the building.
