On the request of Peri we organised a Classroom Renovation Competition. The international company manufacturing formwork and scaffolding systems has been the main supporter of DECODE Prize - the design competition established by our studio. Our mutual goal to support talented young people and their education has led to a joint volunteer program in which our studio participated as the organizer of the design competition.
Peri’s motto: „Shaping the Future” is now related to the classroom renovation project of the protected building of Schulek Frigyes Dual Language Construction Technology Secondary School in the 8th district of Budapest, Hungary. The architectural design competition required the creative use of Peri’s iconic formwork and scaffolding structures. The professional jury evaluated the competition entries based on their presentation of the brand (Peri) and the atmosphere of the space as the two most important criteria.
The winner project conveys a liveable, harmonious interior that is rich in witty details and is dominated by Peri’s colours. After the award ceremony the fine tuning of the details carried on in BORD Architectural Studio. The winner team of three enthusiastic schoolgirls could spend an entire day with our architect colleagues.
Hopefully the plans will be carried out during the summer so this September the new school term can start in the renovated classroom. Until then we wish a splendid journey to the winners whose main prize was a three day professional trip and a city sight-seeing tour to the German HQ of Peri.
